Hopkinsville Disturbance Complaint Leads to Drug Trafficking Arrest

A Hopkinsville man was charged after a gun and drugs were reportedly found in his home on North O’Neal Avenue in Hopkinsville Thursday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they went to the home of 41-year-old Curtis Ray during an investigation of a disturbance on West 1st Street and could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the home. Police were able to get a search warrant and reportedly found 1.93 pounds of marijuana, THC gummies, two scales, a gun, and $9,265 in cash.
 
Ray’s home is located within 1,000 feet of Christian County Middle School. He is charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and trafficking in marijuana.
