UPDATE: Caldwell County Reports New COVID-19 Case; PDHD Releases Active Case Numbers

Caldwell County has reported one new coronavirus case.

Judge-Executive Larry Curling confirmed Friday afternoon the county’s 164th case since the pandemic began in mid-March. He added the case involves a 19-year-old female who is isolated at home.

The Pennyrile District Health Department reports Caldwell County currently has 24 active cases, 20 of which are recovering in their own homes while four are hospitalized. The county’s remaining 138 cases have recovered.

The health department also reported one new case in Crittenden County, that of a 53-year-old male who is isolated at home. The case brings the county’s total number of cases to 128, seven of which are active with one of those hospitalized. Crittenden County has reported three virus related deaths since the pandemic began, the county’s remaining 118 cases have recovered.

No other new cases were reported within the five county district Friday.

According to the health department Lyon County currently has 12 active cases, four of which are hospitalized. Lyon County has confirmed the highest number of virus related deaths in the district at five. The county’s remaining 63 cases have recovered.

As of Friday Trigg County has 23 active cases, two of which are currently hospitalized. The county’s remaining 161 cases have recovered.

The health department also announced Livingston County currently has 12 active cases, two of which are hospitalized. Livingston County has reported one coronavirus death with the county’s remaining 79 cases having recovered.
