State law enforcement is investigating the death of a Providence couple.
Kentucky State Police Post 2 Public Information Officer Trooper Rob Austin says KSP was contacted by the Webster County Sheriff’s Department around 11:16 Wednesday night in reference to a shooting at a residence on Lutontown Lisman Road in Providence. He adds when detectives arrived on the scene they discovered 41-year-old Dana Ensing and her husband, 42-year-old Kyle Ensing, deceased in their home.
Trooper Austin states a preliminary investigation revealed each victim appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds. He notes detectives currently believe Kyle Ensing shot his wife before turning the gun on himself. No other information, including a motive, is known at this time.
Dana and Kyle Ensing were both pronounced deceased at the scene by the Webster County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
