Hopkinsville Man Charged After Shooting At Two Women

A Hopkinsville man was charged with wanton endangerment after he reportedly fired a gun at his child’s mother and another woman Monday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say a woman went to the home of 34-year-old Dayron Caldwell on East 4th Street to get mattresses and found them outside in the rain and attempted to enter the home by breaking a window.
Caldwell reportedly fired three shots into the air and one at the woman’s vehicle hitting it. After the altercation, Caldwell allegedly followed the women to their home at James Village and pulled a gun on her again while breaking the window out of one of the women’s vehicles.
No one was injured in the shooting. Caldwell was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
Police reportedly learned about the shooting after the woman called to get a criminal mischief report for her window being broken.
