Two New COVID-19 Cases in Trigg County Friday

Trigg County has now surpassed the other four counties served by the Pennyrile District Health Department concerning total COVID-19 cases.

In an update from the department Friday, Trigg County reported two new COVID-19 cases. The cases involve a 54-year-old female and an 81-year-old male. Both individuals are isolated at home.

No new COVID-19 cases were confirmed Friday in Lyon County.

The department released its weekly COVID-19 case summary, which showed Trigg County had 172 total cases, 26 more than Caldwell County, which is the second-highest. Lyon County still reports 72 total cases.

In Trigg County, there are 25 active cases, of which, 3 are hospitalized and the rest are recovering at home. Lyon County had 10 active cases and all are recovering at home.

Across the Pennyrile District Health Department service area, there are 599 confirmed cases, 79 active cases, of which, 9 are hospitalized. In addition, 514 recoveries and 9 deaths have been reported.

The district serves Trigg, Lyon, Caldwell, Livingston, and Crittenden counties in western Kentucky.
