A Christian County man and two children were injured in a single vehicle wreck on Old Madisonville Road in Christian County Monday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say an SUV driven by 51-year-old Timothy Powell was northbound on Old Madisonville Road when he swerved to miss a southbound vehicle and ran off the road hitting a tree. Powell along with one of the children in the vehicle were taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for minor injuries. A second child in the vehicle was also taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center in a private vehicle for what were termed minor injuries.
The wreck happened just before 4 pm a mile from the Madisonville Road intersection just outside the Hopkinsville city limits.
