Harville Named New Kentucky Lottery CEO

Governor Andy Beshear appointed a new president and CEO to the Kentucky Lottery Thursday afternoon.

Mary Harville was confirmed by the lottery’s board of directors at a special meeting Thursday. Governor Beshear said Harville has served in many roles with the organization.

Beshear added this appointment means Harville is the first woman President/CEO of the Kentucky Lottery.

Harville joined Beshear during his Thursday COVID-19 news conference and said she is very proud to work in the role.

Harville becomes the sixth president and CEO of the Kentucky Lottery. She replaces Tom Delacenserie, who retired in March after three years at the helm.

Harville received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky in 1984, and her Juris Doctor from the college in 1988. She has practiced law since 1988 in Louisville and Jefferson County.
