Update: Caldwell County Reports Over 100 COVID-19 Cases Since Pandemic Began

Caldwell County is reporting over 100 coronavirus cases since the pandemic began in mid-March.

Judge-Executive Larry Curling confirmed five cases Monday morning, the county’s 96th through 100th. He added the cases involve two 28-year-old males, a 62-year-old male, 60-year-old female, and a 21-year-old male, who are all isolated at home.

Later Monday afternoon Judge Curling announced four more cases, that of a 79-year-old female, 49-year-old male, 17-year-old male, and a 13-year-old male, who are all isolated at home and bring the county’s current total of cases to 104.

The Pennyrile District Health Department is expected to release updated active case numbers and recoveries for the five county district Friday.
