Parade Set For Monday At Christian Health Center

The public is invited to participate in a vehicle parade set for Monday afternoon to show support for the senior citizens and staff at the Christian Health Center in Hopkinsville after an outbreak of COVID-19 was reported last week.

Christian Care Communities board member Tracey Clark says the staff is working incredibly hard with reduced staffing and tremendous stress and area churches have been invited to participate in a support parade/prayer vigil Monday afternoon. She adds they hope this will be a powerful boost for those who are working around the clock to limit the spread and care of those who have been infected with the virus.

According to Clark, the parades will be from 2:30 to 3:30 Monday afternoon and 4:30 to 5:30 at the nursing home facility located at 200 Sterling Drive. At the mid-point of each parade, the cars will stop in front of the Health Center under the awning and Reverend Wade Miller from First Christian Church will lead a prayer. Clark indicates there may be other speakers as well. Parade participants are encouraged to beep, honk, wave, and decorate their cars.
