A fire on South Road in Trigg County destroyed a home and displaced a family Tuesday morning.
South Road Firefighters say the family was able to get out of the home uninjured but the home is a total loss.
Firefighters say some of the family’s pets have not been located. The fire was called into emergency personnel by a neighbor that noticed flames coming from the home around 1 am.
Firefighters say the house that is located at 10114 South Road was fully engulfed when they arrived. The American Red Cross was called to help the family and the cause of the fire remains unknown.
