Eighth COVID Related Death Reported In Todd County

The eighth death related to COVID-19 was reported in Todd County Friday.

Jen Harris, with the county’s health department, said the death is not associated with a congregate setting. She did not release any other information about the person who passed away.

Harris also reported five new positive COVID-19 cases were confirmed Friday, one of which is a minor. She said the minor, who is linked to another case, is isolated at home with resolved symptoms.

According to Harris, two of the adults have underlying health conditions and are isolated at home. One of the adults, linked to another coronavirus case, has mild to moderate symptoms. The other adult is not connected to any other COVID cases and has what Harris said was resolved symptoms.

Harris reports the other two cases are healthy adults. One of the adults is isolated at home with mild symptoms and has been linked to another COVID case. She said the other adult who tested positive has already been released but was not connected to any other cases infected with the virus.

As of Friday, Todd County has confirmed 163 cases, 116 have recovered, and 39 are active with one of those cases hospitalized.
