A Hopkinsville man and woman were charged after a burglary on Wallace Avenue in Hopkinsville Thursday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the area for a report of a burglary in progress and located a vehicle matching the description the caller had given leaving the area.
Police say the driver 27-year-old Johnathan Rickard and passenger 27-year-old Ashley Legrand had broken into a home owned by 44-year-old Brian Ellis of Hopkinsville.
Ellis was reportedly arrested Tuesday after a shooting and remains in the Christian County Jail.
Legrand and Rickard allegedly took $700 worth of clothing, shoes, and hand tools. They are both charged with second-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools.
Rickard was also charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license.
