UPDATE – Man Charged In Hopkinsville Shooting

Police have released more information about the arrest of a Hopkinsville man wanted on charges of wanton endangerment in connection to an April shooting.

Hopkinsville Police say 26-year-old Jermon Childs was located Sunday on Jones Street and was arrested on a  warrant in connection to a shooting that happened on Brown Street in April that led to three homes being damaged.
During the arrest, police say a backpack containing marijuana and cocaine packaged in separate bags along with a scale were found on the property.
Childs along with a second person in the home 23-year-old Triveon Hampton of Hopkinsville who attempted to flee out a back window were arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine and marijuana.
Childs was also arrested on a warrant for first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree criminal mischief in connection to the shooting.
