Christian County Reports Nearly 60 Recoveries Monday

Christian County’s seven-day rolling average of active COVID-19 cases has decreased for the first time in two weeks. The health department reported 14 new cases Monday, with 59 people added to the recovery column.

Christian County Health Department spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney says there are now 832 total cases, 220 of which are active. The active case total is the fewest since August 12.

Adults 22 to 59 years of age saw the greatest decrease in active cases with118, instead of 143. Those 21 and younger were 52 of the active cases, 42 cases were reported in those between the ages of 60 and 84, and 8 active cases in those 85 years of age or older.

The seven-day average of active cases dropped from a record-high of 245 Sunday to 243 Monday.
