Princeton now has an operational electric car charging station conveniently located at City Hall.

Princeton Electric Plant Board General Manager Kevin Kizzee says the board came up with the idea of installing a charging station late last year and was able to connect with Charge Point, which normally installs stations within the TVA.

He adds the charging station will also bring more traffic to the downtown area.

Kizzee notes the charging station can only be accessed if you have an account with Charge Point.

He explains the Princeton Electric Plant Board hopes to make further investments in more charging stations throughout the city in the future and is also expressing his gratitude to the City of Princeton and Mayor Kota Young for giving up a parking space at City Hall.

For more information about the electric car charging station, you can contact the Princeton Electric Plant Board at 270-365-2031.
