A wreck on West Main Street in Elkton sent a woman to a Nashville hospital Saturday afternoon.
Elkton Police say 62-year-old Vickie Short was on West Main Street when her vehicle ran off the road hitting a curb and traveling through a yard before hitting a utility pole. The crash caused her vehicle to overturn and come to a rest on its top. Short was taken by ambulance to a waiting helicopter that transported her to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Police say her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
