Christian County Officials Announce 11th COVID-19 Death

Officials with the Christian County Health Department announced the county’s 11th COVID-19-related death.

Health department director Kayla Bebout confirmed the death Thursday afternoon. She says the 63-year old Caucasian female had underlying health conditions. Bebout adds they send their condolences to family and friends during this difficult time.

This is the third day in a row the department has reported a COVID-19-related death.

Bebout continues to recommend that everyone take preventive steps such as frequent hand washing, wearing a mask in public, and social distancing when possible to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Additionally, the department announced 20 new cases. Christian County now has 228 active cases, including 121 between the age of 22 and 59. The county now reports 478 recoveries.
