The Christian County Grand Jury returned indictments Friday for people charged with sex crimes, kidnapping, assault, and more.
Dennis Cline, Jr., of Hopkinsville, was indicted on charges of promoting a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 16, 3 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor – first offense, 3 counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor – first offense, and prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor. Kentucky State Police report their Electronics Crime Branch discovered Cline sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. Police were able to get a search warrant for his home and seized the equipment used for further investigation at a forensic laboratory. The incidents allegedly occurred between May 28 and June 19, 2020.
Jeffrey Lynn Hollowell, of Hopkinsville, was indicted on charges of kidnapping, second-degree assault – domestic violence, first-degree strangulation, and third-degree terroristic threatening. The charges come after Hopkinsville Police say Hollowell told a woman she was gonna die, then restrained and assaulted her by choking her during a fight.
An indictment for Christopher A. Westbrooks, of Hopkinsville was returned on charges of first-degree strangulation, fourth-degree assault – domestic violence, and second-degree criminal mischief. Hopkinsville Police report Westbrooks physically assaulted his ex-girlfriend and choked her during a fight. They add when she attempted to call for help he reportedly took her phone away and smashed it to keep her from calling for police.
Tracey Cassetty, of Hopkinsville, was also indicted by the grand jury on charges of theft by unlawful taking – auto and 3 counts of theft by unlawful taking over $500 and under $10,000. The charges stem after the Christian County Sheriff’s Department said Cassetty stole three trailers, two from individuals and one from New Work Fellowship. During the investigation, it was also determined that Cassetty had stolen an ATV. The thefts occurred between March 27 and April 9, 2020.
