Several streets will be closed at railroad crossings in Hopkinsville Thursday to allow CSX trains to drop off rail supplies and perform maintenance work.
The following streets will be affected for a few hours throughout the day Thursday east of downtown, weather permitting: East 2nd and 3rd; East 5th through East 8th; and East 10th through East 14th streets.
According to city officials, crossings at East 1st, East 4th, and East 9th streets will remain open.
City officials say motorists should prepare to detour as needed.
