Pennyrile Area Development District Still Delivering Hot Meals to Seniors

Officials with the Pennyrile Area Development District (PADD) are reminding senior adults they can still sign up to receive hot meals delivered daily to their door.

Officials state the Pennyrile Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living, in partnership with their nutrition provider, Pennyrile Allied Community Services (PACS), is still actively preparing and delivering meals, despite area senior citizen centers being closed to the public to help mitigate the spread of coronavirus. They add PACS has delivered 98,000 hot meals to senior adults within the Pennyrile region since March 16th.

Officials are encouraging those senior adults, aged 60 and over, who are in need of hot meals to contact the Pennyrile Aging and Disability Resource Center at 866-844-4396.

Drive-thru hot meals are also available at the Frank P. Giannini Senior Citizen Center in Princeton for those who are able to drive. You can contact the center at 270-365-7446 for more information.

The Pennyrile Area Development District serves Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon, Muhlenburg, Todd, and Trigg counties.
