Christian County reported 12 new COVID-19 cases Thursday but is seeing a decline in active cases.
Amanda Sweeney with the Christian County Health Department says the county has 169 active cases, down 11 from Wednesday. She adds 93 of the active cases are among those between the age of 22 and 59.
Christian County also reported its sixth COVID-19 related death Thursday. A 65-year-old African American male with underlying health conditions died as a result of complications due to the virus.
Sweeney adds the county has 364 recoveries.
