Fort Campbell Learns Plans For Reopening Schools

During a Town Hall meeting at Fort Campbell Wednesday morning, military officials released details of the preparations underway and plans for students to return to school next month.

DoDEA Kentucky Schools Community Superintendent Joshua Adams reminded parents they have two options when students return to school August 24th — virtual and in-person. He added the deadline to register for the virtual school option is Thursday.

He reassured parents that if a child is kept home out of caution, they will not be penalized for missing assignments and being out of school.

Adams also said all of the administrators at the schools will be undergoing robust training with their staff before school begins regarding how they need to be prepared for the upcoming academic year.

During the town hall meeting, Fort Campbell officials were joined by Christian County Public Schools’ Assistant Superintendent Laura Morris and Clarksville-Montgomery County School System Director of Schools Millard House, II who also laid out the plans for returning to in-person or virtual classes.
