Kentucky 109 Bridge To Be Repaired Beginning Monday

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says a bridge on Kentucky 109/Dawson Springs Road near Hopkins County will be reduced to one-lane beginning next week.

Spokeswoman Keirsten Jaggers says the bridgework will begin Monday and is a part of the “Bridging Kentucky” effort. She adds a 10-foot lane controlled by temporary signals will be in place and message boards will be set up at each end of the project to remind motorists of the lane restriction.

“Bridging Kentucky” is a program to improve the safety and soundness of bridges by rehabilitating, repairing, or replacing critical bridges across the state.
