Man Charged After High-Speed Pursuit In Christian County

A Tennessee man was arrested after a high-speed pursuit in Christian County Tuesday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 26-year-old Cody Collins ran a red light in downtown Hopkinsville and almost hit a deputies vehicle then fled. Collins then fled on Main Street to Madisonville Road, before hitting two deputies’ vehicles, and being stopped in the parking lot of Crofton Country Cupboard.

During the pursuit, deputies say Collins passed several vehicles and drove in the wrong lanes of traffic.

He is charged with DUI, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree fleeing or evading police, and two counts of first-degree criminal mischief.
