Caldwell County is reporting twelve new coronavirus cases in the highest single day total since the outbreak began in mid-March.
Josh Ramage, spokesman for the Pennyrile District Health Department, confirmed Tuesday night the twelve new cases brings the county total to 29. He adds the cases involve seven females and five males ranging in age from 14 to 72 with five under the age of 20.
Ramage notes all twelve are isolated at home.
The report now brings the county’s active case number to 16 with 13 having been released.
