Alabama Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident in Crittenden County

An Alabama man was killed as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Crittenden County over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Kentucky State Police Post 2 Public Information Officer Trooper Rob Austin states just before six Friday evening troopers responded to reports of a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Kentucky Highway 120, approximately three miles east of Marion. He adds preliminary investigation revealed 65-year-old Bruce Selby, of Quinton, Alabama, was operating a 2019 Harley Davidson westbound when, for unknown reasons, Selby exited the right shoulder of the roadway, where he was ejected from his motorcycle after striking a concrete culvert.

Selby was initially transported to Lourdes Hospital in Paducah before being transported to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, where he reportedly succumbed to his injures on Tuesday.
