Caldwell Reports Sixteenth COVID-19 Case

Caldwell County reported yet another new case of coronavirus Thursday.

Pennyrile District Health Department spokesman Josh Ramage the county’s 16th case is a probable positive and involves a 51-year-old female who is isolated at home. He adds the case is considered probable because the test administered was an antigen test and the health department is awaiting further lab confirmation.

Ramage notes apart from Thursday’s probable case, the county currently has two active cases with the remaining thirteen recovered.

This is the third case reported this week within the county, the two others were reported Monday. Thursday’s case is the fourth case reported since the end of an eight week period that saw no new cases within the county.
