A man was charged after he reportedly fled from police after a fight on South Kentucky Avenue Friday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 24-year-old Johnathan McDonald entered a home on South Kentucky Avenue and assaulted someone inside before leaving the area.
He was reportedly located on Boxwood Drive and as police put handcuffs on him he fled.
McDonald was located a short time later by a police K9 and allegedly told police he had taken some kind of medication, smoked spice and marijuana.
He is charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree fleeing or evading police, public intoxication, and giving officers false identifying information.
