Hopkinsville Man Charged After Leaving Children Home Alone

A Hopkinsville man was charged with wanton endangerment after police say he left two young children at home alone on Early Drive Thursday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 33-year-old Antonio Greene left a 7-year-old and a 10-month-old child at home alone while getting a jump box for a lawnmower.

Police were reportedly called after a neighbor noticed the 7-year-old crying and knocking on doors in the area. The child reportedly told the neighbor the baby was hungry and crying.

The neighbor allegedly told police they didn’t know how long Greene was gone.

The children were left in the care of their grandmother and Greene was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
