Trigg Residents Over 60 Can Request Meals from Senior Center

The Trigg County Senior Citizens Center is working hard through the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure that no senior goes hungry.

Director Cissy Lawrence says they have been delivering meals to those in need and handing out meals at the center every weekday. Anyone in need of a meal can call the center at (270) 522-8341 by 9:30 each morning to request a meal that can be picked up between 11:30 and noon at the center. She adds you can also call them for more information on how to get meals delivered to your home. Meals are available for anyone over the age of 60.

In addition to the food distribution, Lawrence says they are giving away free half-gallons of 1% low-fat milk to any Trigg County resident that wants it every Wednesday, until further notice.

One positive thing going on right now, the community garden is starting to produce fruits and vegetables.

Lawrence invites anyone who wants anything to stop by the garden and get some fresh produce. The center is located at 127 Joy Drive in Cadiz, behind Food Giant.
