Two Instructional Supervisors Named At CCPS

Kadi Ralston

Officials with Christian County Public Schools have named two instructional supervisors to assist school leaders and teachers with district and school priorities.

Director of Instruction, Jessica Addison says Kadi Ralston and Michelle Walden will serve as the Secondary and Elementary Instructional Supervisors, respectively. Addison says they bring a tremendous amount of expertise and enthusiasm to the district team and will be instrumental in providing improved service and support to schools.

District spokesman John Rittenhouse says Ralston, a native of Todd County, has been with the school district for two years as a K-12 Literacy Coach and Grant Coordinator facilitating a community-wide focus on literacy. Her previous roles include secondary English Language Arts teacher, Instructional Specialist for the Kentucky Department of Education, and assistant principal.

Michelle Walden

Walden, a native of Bismarck, Illinois, has been with the school district for 19 years and was an intermediate teacher at Pembroke Elementary for ten years and a 5th-grade teacher at Lacy Elementary for two years. Rittenhouse says she has also worked as an Instructional and Behavior Coach for the school district for two years. For the last five years, he adds she has served as an assistant principal at Indian Hills Elementary School.

The two positions were recently approved during the re-organization of the Instructional Department that eliminated four positions.
