Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library Reopens Monday With Limited Access

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library will reopen to the public with limited access and services Monday morning.

In order to eliminate the exposure and spread of the COVID-19 virus, library officials say they will have new rules, processes, and limited services during the reopening phases.

There will be some services that have been implemented during the library’s closure that officials say they have seen great success and those services will continue as provided. They add there will be other services that patrons have grown to expect that will not be available during this particular phase but will be offered in the next reopen phase.

Library officials say they are eager to welcome everyone back and they want to reopen with patron and staff safety in mind. They add this will mean moving forward slowly and figuring out how they can provide materials to the community immediately and how the library can offer additional access to services in the coming weeks. They ask for patience with the library’s new policies and hope it will be back to the library everyone has grown accustomed to, as soon as possible.

The library will reopen at 9:30 Monday morning.
