Trigg County Public Schools says there has been one positive that has come out of the COVID-19 pandemic, more work has been completed on the elementary school renovation project.
Superintendent Bill Thorpe tells the News Edge the whole upstairs of the school was gutted.
Unless they are asked to move the date, students are scheduled to return to class on Wednesday, August 19, because of the renovation project.
Thorpe adds they are working to be ready for whatever Governor Andy Beshear asks school districts to do when students are supposed to return.
In other news from the district, Thrope says they are continuing to operate their summer feeding program on Tuesdays and Thursdays at six locations throughout the county. Food can be picked up at those locations from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
