Juvenile Charged With Sunday Hopkinsville Shooting

A juvenile was arrested and charged with a Sunday shooting that sent another juvenile to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

Hopkinsville Police Information Officer Mike Atkins says during the investigation detectives found that the juvenile victim was shot while attempting to break up a fight in the 600 block of Evergreen Park Drive when the shooting occurred.  Witnesses say the juvenile was apparently shot multiple times with a BB-gun.  He was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

Hopkinsville Police arrested a juvenile Monday in connection with the shooting.  The juvenile was charged Assault 1st Degree and lodged in the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Center.
