Cerulean Woman Critically Injured In December Wreck Dies

A Cerulean woman,  who was critically injured in a two-vehicle wreck last year on the Princeton Road that also claimed the life of her young daughter, has died from her injuries.

According to an incomplete obituary from Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home in Hopkinsville, 33-year old Misty Dawn Quarles died Monday at Vanderbilt Medical Center due to a vehicle accident on December 23, 2019.

As previously reported by the News Edge, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office said the wreck occurred when a car driven by 35-year-old Robert Jackson of Marion crossed the center line and crashed head-on into pickup truck driven by Misty Quarles. Deputies said the truck came to rest in a creek bed, and three people were extricated from the vehicles.

Deputies said a passenger in Quarles’ truck, 34-year-old Marcus Quarles, and a juvenile were taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Misty Quarles and her 11-year old daughter Alexia Trump, and Jackson were flown to Nashville hospitals. Trump, a student at Sinking Fork Elementary School, died at the hospital from her injuries.
