The Trigg County Senior Citizens Center received a donation Thursday of some personal protective equipment and hand sanitizer that is being handed out to seniors in need.
Center Director Cissy Lawrence tells the News Edge the Cadiz Rotary Club purchased masks and hand sanitizer from Main Street Pharmacy.
Lawrence adds the donation means a lot to them, especially since it’s Older Americans Month.
For seniors that have not received any of the supplies still have a chance to get some.

Lawrence adds they are accepting items to make the month of May better for Trigg County seniors.
Lawrence says if you are a Trigg County senior in need of daily meals provided each weekday, you can register to receive them by calling the Pennyrile Area Development District at 1-866-844-4396.
The Trigg County Senior Citizens Center is currently closed to the public, but the staff is continuing to work every weekday to ensure no senior is going hungry.
