One New COVID-19 Case Confirmed In Todd County

The Todd County Health Department reported a new COVID-19 case was confirmed Monday, bringing the total number of cases to 14 in the county.

Public Health Director in the county, Jen Harris says the healthy adult was tested Saturday and the positive test result was received Monday. She adds the adult is currently isolated at home with mild symptoms.

According to Harris, the adult is not connected with any previous coronavirus cases and is believed to have contracted the virus at their workplace outside Todd County. She says this case has less than five contacts and they have been notified and advised to self-quarantine for 14 days.

While this is the 14th case confirmed in Todd County since the pandemic began, this is the first positive case in six days with the last coronavirus case reported Tuesday, April 28th. Of the 14 cases, four remain active and ten cases have recovered.
