Pennyrile Area Development District Delivered Over 26,000 Meals During Past Month

Officials with the Pennyrile Area Development District (PADD) are reminding senior adults to sign up to receive hot meals delivered daily to their door.

Officials state that PADD’s nutrition providers, Pennyrile Allied Community Services (PACS), are still actively preparing and delivering meals, despite area senior citizen centers being closed to the public due to state mandates to help mitigate the spread of coronavirus. They add that during the past month, March 23rd through April 24th, PACS delivered 26,357 hot meals to senior adults within the Pennyrile region.

Officials are encouraging those senior adults, aged 60 and over, who are in need of hot meals to contact the Pennyrile Aging and Disability Resource Center at 866-844-4396.

The Pennyrile Area Development District serves Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon, Muhlenburg, Todd, and Trigg counties.
