Teen Pleads Guilty In Marshall County High School Shooting

The teenager charged in the 2018 Marshall County High School shooting has entered a guilty plea.

WPSD-TV in Paducah reports Gabriel Parker entered a plea agreement Tuesday that saw him plead guilty to two counts of murder and 14 counts of assault in connection to the January 23, 2018 shooting.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Dennis Foust had sought a sentence of life in prison without probation or parole until Parker had served a minimum of 25 years of his sentence.

A change of venue moved the potential trial to Christian County Circuit Court in May 2019 and was set to begin in June. Parker could face a sentence of life in prison. Judge Jamie Jameson said a sentencing hearing will be held on June 12.
