The Todd County Health Department has confirmed another new COVID-19 case, the second new positive coronavirus case announced in the county this week.
Jen Harris, the public health director in Todd County, says the new case is a healthy adult lives in the county but is an essential worker in another county and contracted the virus at work. The adult is isolated at home with moderate symptoms including cough, fever, diarrhea, and vomiting. Harris says the adult has had multiple contacts and they have been notified and advised to self-quarantine for 14-days.
According to Harris, the new case is not connected to any of the previous cases in Todd County. She adds since the governor has opened testing to everyone, the public should take advantage of the opportunity to be tested.
The new coronavirus case announced Thursday brings the total number of cases in Todd County to eleven.
