A Hopkinsville man was charged with choking and assaulting his girlfriend on Sivley Road Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 23-year-old Gabriel Jackson was arguing with his girlfriend and started smacking her multiple times in the head before using his hands to choke her to the point of passing out.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault.
