Lyon County Judge-Executive Wade White confirmed there are more positive COVID-19 cases at the River’s Bend Retirement Community in Kuttawa when test results were returned Tuesday.
Judge White said in a video on social media there are two wings at the facility — assisted living and skilled. He said about 50 people in the assisted living wing were tested and seven patients and three staff members had positive results.
On the skilled wing, he added they received some good news with no positive COVID-19 cases at this time.
Judge White says the facility will be working to determine what they need to do to protect the other residents in the assisted living wing.
In addition to the new cases announced Tuesday, Judge White said another new positive COVID-19 case was confirmed Monday involving a 56- year old female, who has symptoms and not hospitalized. He added the contact investigation in connection to this case is ongoing.
