A Hopkinsville woman was arrested after police say she assaulted a man with a baseball bat on Howell Street Tuesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 34-year-old Dishae Poindexter hit a man with a baseball bat in the arm after she said he spat on her and called her names.
An ambulance was called to the scene but the man whose name has not been released refused medical attention.
Poindexter is charged with second-degree assault.
