Police have released more information about a fight between a father and son on Grimes Avenue that led to the son being shot Thursday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 58-year-old Michael Silvis of Hopkinsville was fighting with his son 27-year-old Kennedrae Metcalfe of Hopkinsville over a car and after being pushed he shot Metcalfe in the shoulder.
Metcalfe was taken by private vehicle to Jennie Stuart Medical Center then transported to a Nashville hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
After being interviewed by police Silvis has been arrested and charged with first-degree assault.
