Hancock’s Working Hard To Keep Products On The Shelves

Local businesses, especially grocery stores and their owners, are really feeling the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mallory Lawrence, owner of Hancock’s Neighborhood Market says its been really crazy dealing with wholesalers and manufacturers recently.

Lawrence adds she joins three conference calls each week with her grocery company.

Hancock’s was recently accused of price gouging, but Lawrence says that is not happening at her store.

She adds they have implemented recent precautions to protect her employees.

Lawrence adds they have implemented other things to protect customers, especially since they see customers from all over the region.

While in-store, customers can take advantage of using produce bags that can serve as “gloves” to help when pushing shopping carts, with Lawrence urging all customers to practice social distancing in the store.
