Governor Beshear Says Kentucky Has 163 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases

Governor Andy Beshear reported Tuesday evening the state had 163 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

During his nightly update, Governor Beshear mentioned one of the confirmed COVID-19 cases was from someone who had attended a coronavirus party.

He adds more tests are being completed daily and the confirmed case number will rise as results come back. In good news, the governor believes four Kentucky residents have fully recovered.

In addition, Governor Beshear announced all non-life-sustaining businesses must close to in-person traffic by 8:00 Thursday night.

A full list of affected businesses will be released with the governor’s order Wednesday.

Beshear adds he has signed Senate Bill 177, aimed to help Kentucky schools, which goes into effect immediately.

Governor Beshear again stressed the importance of social distancing and asked for Kentucky residents to post the good things going on during the pandemic by using #TeamKentucky and #TogetherKY on all social media platforms.
