Four People Charged With Trafficking Drugs In Madisonville

A traffic stop for speeding on Anton Road in Madisonville led to four people including a Crofton woman being charged with trafficking meth Sunday night.

Kentucky State Police say they stopped 25-year-old George Martin of White Plains for speeding and during the stop found meth, marijuana and an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.

Martin along with his passengers 36-year-old Billy Irvin of Dawson Springs, 24-year-old Levi Alfred of Madisonville, and 27-year-old Lisa Albin of Crofton were all charged with trafficking meth and marijuana along with possession of an unknown controlled substance.

Martin was also charged with speeding, first-degree promoting contraband, DUI, and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
