Man Arrested In Todd County After Tennessee Pursuit

A Clarksville man was arrested in Todd County after a police pursuit that started in Tennessee Saturday night.

Todd County Sheriff’s Deputies say 39-year-old Tony Wardwell fled from Tennessee law enforcement in Montgomery County on a stolen motorcycle.

The pursuit was terminated a couple of miles before the Kentucky state line but they alerted Todd County Sheriff’s Deputies about the motorcyclist entering their county.

Wardwell was located by deputies in the area and was positively identified by Tennessee law enforcement.

During the arrest, he was reportedly found to have a meth pipe with residue inside along with heroin that was found after he was taken to jail. He is charged with possession of meth and heroin. More charges are pending.

The stolen motorcycle was found in the area by Guthrie Police Sunday morning.
