The Trigg County Health Department will be hosting a series of free diabetes classes beginning next week.
Kelly Dawes with the Pennyrile District Health Department says the classes will begin Monday, with additional classes on March 23, 30, and April 2.
She adds the classes are open to anyone.
The classes will take place from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Cadiz.
Dawes encourages people to sign up, but it’s not a requirement.
In addition to the upcoming classes, March 24 is Diabetes Alert Day, which Dawes says is a day to learn about your risk for getting the disease.
