The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter announced a partnership this week with the Cornell Memory Center and Morningside of Hopkinsville.
The partnership will bring Memory Cafe to Christian County, according to Community Outreach Coordinator Briann Hill. She adds the program is a monthly special group that provides a safe, comfortable environment where people with memory loss and their care partners can enjoy time together. Memory Cafe also allows them to remain socially engaged with others going through the same journey.
Hill notes the program provides a time and place where people can interact, find support, and celebrate without feeling embarrassed or misunderstood.
The first Christian County Memory Cafe will take place Saturday, March 14. You can register by clicking here or calling Hill at (812) 297-9726.
